Can I import recipes from TikTok or Instagram?

Yes. Share any TikTok or Instagram video to Plato using your device's share sheet. Plato will transcribe the recipe from the video using AI. Results are best with clear, step-by-step recipe videos.

Can I import from a photo or screenshot?

Yes. Tap + → Photo Import, then select an image of a recipe. Plato's AI will read the text and create a recipe. Works great with screenshots from websites or other apps.

My import came out wrong, what can I do?

Tap the recipe, then tap Edit to fix anything. You can correct ingredients, steps, servings, and the title. AI imports sometimes misread uncommon formatting, editing is quick and easy.

What is Smart Planner?

The Smart Planner creates a week plan from the selected planning settings with a deterministic, rules-based algorithm; it does not use AI or an LLM. Current access requirements are shown in the app.
